Users

The community of Fedora Commons users that we know about — Fedora software was downloaded approximately 20,000 times in the last year — includes institutions that are using Fedora to manage all types of data and information. You can let others know about what you are doing with Fedora and become an active member of the community by contributing your information to the Fedora Commons Community Registry. If you are using Fedora and are not listed in our registry please contact us.

Fedora Commons is frequently asked about who is using Fedora and what they are doing with it by funders and potential new users. The current registry lists over 100 institutions grouped into 12 different categories. The current Fedora download rate of more than 1,000 per month indicates that the community is large and growing. So please let us know who you are!

The Fedora Commons Users' mailing list is where users and Fedora Commons staff members connect on issues related to using Fedora. Please join this lively and ongoing conversation, ask questions and share your expertise. In addition HatCheck, a quarterly newsletter published by Fedora Commons, contains development news from and about Fedora Commons communities.
